He studied composition and trumpet at the University of Missouri until 2006 and continued his studies at Michigan State University, earning a Master of Music in 2008. David has worked as a composition student and assistant to Ricardo Lorenz. His works, including 'Elegy' and compositions for the H2 Quartet, have been recognized through multiple awards. Since 2018, he has been teaching composition as an Assistant Professor at Wichita State University.
