David Murdoch is a Scottish curler from Lockerbie, born on April 17, 1978. He currently serves as the skip of the Scottish curling team. He is a two-time world junior champion from 1995 and 1996 and won a silver medal at the World Senior Championships in 2005. Murdoch's team won the world championship in 2006 and finished fourth at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and fifth at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He also earned a silver medal at the 2014 Sochi Olympics with the British team.
