David Nualart i Rodón is a renowned Catalan mathematician known for his work in probability theory, particularly in stochastic analysis. He studied at the University of Barcelona, where he earned his PhD in 1975 with a thesis on stochastic integral, supervised by Francesc d'Assís Sales i Vallès. Nualart held positions at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and later became a full professor at the University of Barcelona in 1984. He directed IMUB from 2001 to 2004 and moved to the University of Kansas in 2005, where he is a distinguished professor.
