David Ole Nkedianye is a Kenyan politician born on December 20, 1963, who served as the first governor of Kajiado County. He was elected in 2013, narrowly defeating his opponent, Parantai Moses. In 2017, he contested for re-election but lost to Joseph Jama Ole Lenku of the Jubilee party. Nkedianye has a background in community facilitation for the International Livestock Research Institute and holds a PhD in Pastoralism land-use and conservation from the University of Edinburgh, along with a Bachelor of Education in Social Education and Ethics.
