David Peter Pekoske is an American government official and former Vice Admiral of the United States Coast Guard. He has been serving as the Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration since August 10, 2017. Pekoske also held positions as the Acting Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security from April 11 to November 13, 2019, and again from January 20 to June 18, 2021, as well as the Acting Secretary of Homeland Security from January 20 to February 2, 2021.
