David Shea is an American turntablist and composer, born on December 8, 1965, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He studied composition at the School of Performing Arts in Indianapolis before moving to New York City, where he made a name for himself as a DJ. His debut album, Shock Corridor, was released in 1992. Shea creates works influenced by Fluxus, Patchwork Music, John Cage, and Iannis Xenakis, and actively collaborates with various musicians and electronic artists in the Down Town music scene.
