David Szurman is a former Czech figure skater born on March 24, 1981, in Třinec. He competed in ice dancing with partner Kateřina Kovalová. Szurman participated in the 2002 Winter Olympics, finishing in 20th place. In addition, he competed in various world and European championships around the turn of the 21st century, achieving his best placements of 17th at the European Championships in 2000 and 2002. Szurman and Kovalová also became Czech national champions in 2000 and 2001.
