David Thorpe, also known as Dave Thorpe, is a former English trial motorcycle rider born in Sheffield on December 18, 1945. In the late 1960s, he was a prominent competitor in the European Trial Championship, initially as a teammate of Mick Andrews on the official OSSA team and later with Bultaco. In 1979, Thorpe joined CCM and contributed to the development of their 4-stroke trial model, the CCM 350T. He currently participates frequently in classic motorcycle trials, which are quite popular in the British Isles.
