Davoud Ahmadi Mouness, known by his artistic name Arvin, is an Iranian caricaturist, press cartoonist, graphic designer, and artist born on October 15, 1983. He gained notoriety at the age of 17 for a controversial caricature in the newspaper 'Zan' regarding the issue of women's blood money in Islam, which contributed to the permanent closure of the publication in April 1999 by the Islamic Revolutionary Court. In the wake of the protests on July 9, 1999, he was arrested and spent time in prison. On November 28, 2020, he broke his silence and criticized security forces about his detention during the protests.
