David Alexander Tweed (1959 – 2021) was a Northern Irish unionist politician, rugby union international, and a convicted child sex offender. He served four years in prison for child abuse, though his conviction was later overturned on a legal technicality. Despite this, he is widely viewed as a domestic abuser and sexual predator. His death prompted praise from some members of his political party, the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), who described him as a 'larger than life character'. He was a Ballymena Borough Councillor from 1997 to 2013.
