Declan Arthurs was a Northern Irish member of the Provisional IRA's East Tyrone Brigade during the mid-1980s. Born on 28 October 1965, he played an active role in the conflict in Northern Ireland. He was involved in significant actions against British security forces, including the bombing of a Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) base. Tragically, his life was cut short when he was killed in the Loughgall ambush on 8 May 1987.
