In 1991, he formed his own band, Big Stars. Defao gained fame through his numerous hit songs, particularly in the late 1980s, including popular titles like 'Amour Scolaire', 'Famille Kikuta', and 'Solange Lima.' Sadly, he passed away on December 27, 2021, due to complications from COVID-19, just days before his 63rd birthday.
