Demissie Wolde is a retired Ethiopian marathon runner born on March 8, 1937. He finished 10th at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and placed 13th at the Fukuoka Marathon in 1968. In 1969, he won the Košice Marathon with a personal best of 2:15:37 hours. At the 1972 Munich Olympics, he finished in 18th place. His older brother Mamo Wolde was the Olympic marathon champion in 1968.
