Dennis W. Parmenter was an American politician and lawyer born on December 27, 1950, in Elkhart, Iowa. He attended North Polk High School, Iowa State University, and Drake University School of Law. Parmenter was a dedicated public servant, having served as mayor of Huxley and a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 1999 to 2001. He established his legal practice in Huxley after working as an Assistant Story County Attorney. Parmenter passed away on December 12, 2020, and his memorial service took place in June 2021.
