Deodato Borges was a Brazilian journalist, broadcaster, and comics creator, born on January 20, 1934, in Campina Grande. He created the radio series 'As Aventuras do Flama' in the late 1950s, leading to the establishment of a comic book featuring the superhero Flama in 1963. Borges served as general director of Diários Associados and culture editor of the newspaper O Norte. In the 1980s, he collaborated with his son on the sci-fi saga '3000 Anos Depois.' He won the Prêmio Angelo Agostini in 1999 for his contributions to Brazilian comics.
