Sir Desmond Parry Dreyer was a British naval officer who achieved the rank of Admiral. Born on April 6, 1910, in Warwick, he served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Far Eastern Fleet from 1962 to 1965 and later as the Second Sea Lord from 1965 to 1967. After his naval career, he held the honorific position of Gentleman Usher to the Sword of State in the Royal Household from 1973 to 1980. He passed away on May 15, 2003, in Winchester, Hampshire.
