Desmond Milton Smith was an Anglican bishop from Belize who served from 1989 until his death in 1992. Born on March 10, 1937, in San Ignacio, he was ordained as a deacon in 1970 and became a priest in 1971. He worked in various capacities in Zambia before attaining his bishopric in Belize after the death of his predecessor, Keith A. McMillan. Smith was educated at the St. John's Seminary and Codrington College. He was buried at the Saint John’s Cathedral, with Sylvester Romero Palma succeeding him.
