Despina Solomou is a Greek synchronized swimmer born on August 18, 1990. She competed in the women's duet at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics, first pairing with Evanthia Makrygianni and later with Evangelia Platanioti. Starting her sports career at age six, she made her international debut in 2006 and won at the 2007 European Junior Championships. Solomou retired in 2014 due to lack of funding and is now a coach at Lugano Nuoto in Switzerland.
