DEV LARGE, born Hideaki Kon, was a Japanese hip-hop musician, MC, trackmaker, producer, DJ, and remixer, active in the 1990s as the leader and MC of BUDDHA BRAND. He changed his stage name to D.L in 2005 and headed the labels EL DORADO RECORDS and DEVASTATOR RECORDING. He was known affectionately as 'Kon-chan.' His contributions to the Japanese hip-hop scene were significant, and he remains a notable figure in the genre.
