Diamando Koumbaki was a Greek resistance fighter born in Piraeus on February 8, 1926. A member of the KKE and a warrior in OPLA, she was active in the neighborhoods of Tambouria and Amfiali, where she was wounded in combat against Germans and Security Battalions. Captured on August 17, 1944, during the Kokkinia massacre, she was tortured and executed. Her final words emphasized a commitment to resistance and honor. In her memory, a square in Neapolis, Nikaia is named after her, featuring a bust in her honor.
