Diamantis Axiotes, born in 1942, is a Greek poet and writer residing and working in Kavala. In 2003, he published the anthology "Kavala, a City in Literature," a collection of texts about the city from its earliest names and explorations to the present. He has served on the council of the Association of Friends of Letters and Arts in the Kavala Municipal Library and has been part of the editorial board for literary magazines. His story, 'The Anna of the Clidoon,' is included in the Greek education curriculum.
