Diana Redhouse (April 26, 1923 - October 19, 2007) was a British artist best known for creating the logo of Amnesty International, which features a candle behind barbed wire. Raised in a Jewish family of Russian-Polish descent, she served in the army during WWII before studying at St Martins School of Art. Redhouse remained active in Amnesty International until her death after being inspired by a newspaper article about forgotten prisoners. Throughout her life, she balanced her art career with raising two daughters alongside her husband, architect Alexander Redhouse.
