Harold Richard Darby was an English bishop who served as the Bishop of Sherwood from 1975 to 1988. Educated at Durham University, he was ordained in 1951 and worked in various ecclesiastical roles, including Vicar of Shrub End Colchester and Waltham Abbey. He became the Dean of Battle in 1970 and was ordained as a bishop on June 24, 1975. He held an honorary doctorate from the University of Nottingham and retired in December 1988, passing away on December 27, 1993.
