Known for his unique improvisational style, he trained both with his brothers and as a self-taught musician, inspiring various cantaores. Despite his prolific performances, he recorded little due to fears of imitation. He influenced many American students and notable guitarists like Toti Soler and left a lasting legacy, as seen in the works of his nephew Diego de Morón and the group Son de la Frontera.
