Dieter Scharf is a former German ski jumper, born on December 31, 1943, in Johanngeorgenstadt. He competed for SC Traktor Oberwiesenthal and held several hill records during the 1960s. Scharf won a silver medal in the men's large hill at the DDR Ski Championships in 1965, and a bronze in 1966. He achieved his first and only national title in 1968 despite initially ranking fifth. After his career, he became a trainer and later a physical education teacher at Pestalozzi-Oberschule in Johanngeorgenstadt.
