Dimitar Metodiev Hristov (Sotir) was a Bulgarian poet, partisan, and political figure of the Bulgarian Communist Party (BCP). From 1967 to 1989, he served as a political advisor to the socialist leader of the People's Republic of Bulgaria, Todor Zhivkov, during which he wrote a significant portion of Zhivkov's public speeches.
