Dimitar Zlatanov Popov is a Bulgarian volleyball player who was part of the team that won a silver medal at the 1980 Moscow Olympics. He is the only Bulgarian inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame in Holyoke, Massachusetts, USA. In 1970, he was recognized as the world's number one attacker. He is married to Maria Vasileva and has a son, Hristo Zlatanov, who has played matches for the Italian national team.
