Dimitri Gogos was a Greek-Australian journalist and the founder of the Melbourne-based newspaper Neos Kosmos. Born in Chios in 1931, he immigrated to Australia in 1950, facing discrimination as a Greek immigrant. In 1957, he established Neos Kosmos, emphasizing Hellenic culture and the rights of Greek workers. Gogos also edited the Greek Communist newspaper Australoellinas and contributed to various Greek publications. His work played a significant role in the Greek community in Australia. He is the grandfather of actress Olympia Valance.
