Dimitrios Rizos was a Greek politician and former member of parliament, born on March 20, 1958, in Soufli, Greece. He was involved with the youth branch of the Communist Party in his early years and was a member of the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA). Rizos was elected as a SYRIZA MP for Evros in the January and September elections of 2015. He ran again in the 2019 elections but did not succeed in being re-elected, finishing fifth. He passed away on July 23, 2020.
