Ding Deshan, born Phan Đình Dinh, was a prominent Vietnamese general and politician. He served as a Lieutenant General and held various significant positions including Deputy Minister of National Defense, several ministerial roles in mechanical engineering, petroleum, and transportation, as well as Chief of General Logistics. He was a member of the Central Executive Committee in the third and fourth terms of the Communist Party of Vietnam and is celebrated as the 'eldest brother' of the military transport sector in Vietnam. He was awarded the Gold Star Order for his contributions.
