Dinny McGinley, also known as Dennis McGinley, is an Irish politician from Gweedore, County Donegal, born on April 27, 1945. He is a member of the Fine Gael party and served as a Teachta Dála in the Dáil Éireann. Initially working as a teacher and school principal, McGinley faced electoral challenges in the early 1980s but eventually won a seat in 1982 representing Donegal South-West, a position he held until 2016. He was appointed Minister of State for the Gaeltacht in March 2011 but lost the position in July 2014 during a government reshuffle.
