Dirk Koch is a German journalist and book author, born on March 10, 1943, in Amsterdam. He has lived in the Rhineland and Ireland. Koch served as the head of the Bonn capital office of the news magazine Der Spiegel from 1973 until 1997. Following that, he was the chief representative of Der Spiegel at its EU headquarters in Brussels until 2006.
