Dirk Van Saene is a Belgian fashion designer born on March 1, 1959, in Belgium. He graduated in 1981 from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, majoring in Fashion Design, and is part of the renowned group known as 'The Antwerp Six'. Shortly after graduating, he opened his own boutique, Beauties & Heroes, in Antwerp. He showcased his collections in Paris for the first time in 1990 and served as a curator in 2001 for an exhibition on Coco Chanel. Currently, he teaches at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
