Diz Disley, born William Charles Disley, was a Canadian jazz guitarist known for his work in the music scene primarily in the UK. Born on May 27, 1931, in Winnipeg to Welsh parents, he moved to Wales at the age of four before later settling in London. Initially playing the banjo, he transitioned to guitar and became a member of trumpeter Mick Mulligan's band. Throughout his career, Disley collaborated with prominent musicians, including Nat Gonella, David Grisman, Ken Colyer, and Kenny Ball. He passed away on March 22, 2010, in London.
