DJ Lugi, also known as BoogieLou, Lugisoul, Louis or Luvigiù, is an Ethiopian-Italian rapper, disc jockey, and beatmaker born Luigi Pecora on January 8, 1969. He is regarded as one of the most important promoters of hip hop culture and underground rap in Italy, contributing to its inception and spread. A part of the golden age of the 1990s, he has collaborated with major artists of the scene, including Neffa and Fabri Fibra, and remains active in the underground scene alongside international artists like MF Doom.
