Doddarange Gowda, born on February 7, 1946, is an esteemed Indian poet and lyricist known for his contributions to Kannada cinema. A retired professor of Kannada, he has published multiple anthologies and released audio cassettes and CDs featuring his poetry. Notable songs include Tera Yeri Ambaradaage and Sri Rama Bandavne. Besides his literary work, he served as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Legislative Council. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with the Padma Shri award in 2018.
