With a personal best of 5.70 meters set in 2000, he holds the St Lucian record in pole vaulting as well as in decathlon and several relay events. Johnson also set a national indoor record of 5.55 meters in 1998. A former University of Arizona student, he is recognized as an exceptional athlete. Additionally, he established a scholarship program to aid local athletes, contributing to their advancement in sports.
