Don M. Carlson is an American educator and politician, born on December 30, 1938. He was a member of the Washington House of Representatives from 1993 to 2001, representing the 49th district, and later served in the Washington State Senate for the same district from 2001 to 2005. A member of the Republican Party, Carlson lost his Senate seat to Democrat Craig Pridemore in the 2004 election.
