Donald Kelso McKellar was an Australian politician born on June 29, 1924, in Hamilton. He served in the Royal Australian Air Force from 1942 to 1946 before returning to his family farm. He married Margaret Grant in 1949 and had five daughters. McKellar was a Dundas Shire councillor from 1962 to 1967, then elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly in 1967 as a Liberal member, serving until 1985, with a brief interruption after being defeated in 1970.
