Ritchie achieved numerous records, including the fastest 100 miles (1977) and 100 km (1978) distances. He was the first to set a world record for the indoor 24-hour race in 1990. Ritchie won prestigious races like the London to Brighton and the West Highland Way Race. He was awarded an MBE for his contributions to athletics and passed away on June 16, 2018.
