Donald Kevin Thorp is a former American football defensive end who played in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts, and Kansas City Chiefs. Born on July 10, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, he played high school football at Buffalo Grove High School. Thorp played college football for the Illinois Fighting Illini and earned first-team All-American honors in 1983. He was drafted by the Saints in the sixth round of the 1984 NFL draft, appearing in five games that season. His playing career included a stint as a replacement player during the 1987 NFLPA strike.
