Don Warrington was a Canadian football running back born on June 7, 1948, who played ten seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos. He was part of four Grey Cup championship teams and was known by the nickname 'Jeep'. Warrington tragically died in a car accident on December 2, 1980, shortly after helping the Eskimos secure their third consecutive Grey Cup win, and his jersey number 21 was unofficially retired in his honor. The Eskimos paid tribute to him with a commemorative patch on their jerseys.
