Ricardina Pereira da Silva, commonly known as Dona Cadú, was a celebrated Brazilian ceramist, sambadeira, rezadeira, and community leader of Afro-Indigenous descent. Born on April 14, 1920, in São Félix, she spent much of her life in the district of Coqueiros, Maragogipe, Bahia. Dona Cadú was known for her contributions to community life, cultural heritage, and her artistic talent in ceramics. She became a symbol of resilience and cultural identity throughout her century-long life.
