Sir Donald Campbell (1930–2004) was a distinguished Scottish anaesthetist and the dean of the Royal College of Anaesthetists from 1982 to 1985. He was recognized for his contributions to medicine by being appointed CBE in the 1987 Birthday Honours and was knighted in 1994. Additionally, he became a member of the Harveian Society of Edinburgh in the same year. His work and leadership significantly advanced the field of anaesthesia in Scotland.
