Donald Floyd Hagen is a retired vice admiral of the United States Navy, who served as Surgeon General from 1991 to 1995. He began his Navy career in 1951 and was promoted to vice admiral by retirement in 1995. Hagen was a battalion surgeon during the Vietnam War and received the Bronze Star for his service. After retirement, he held a prominent position at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
