Donald MacPhail (1910–1997) was a notable Scottish tennis player active before and after World War 2. He won the Scottish Championships men's singles four times and the Scottish Hard Court Championships singles twice. MacPhail reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon in 1938, defeating third seed Roderich Menzel, who retired during the match. He served as a Flight Lieutenant and participated in Wimbledon men's singles from 1933 to 1946. After his tennis career, he moved to England and passed away in Essex.
