Donald Morgan Nielsen Jr. is a former American biathlete born on October 18, 1951, in New London, New Hampshire. He participated in the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, finishing 44th in the 10 km sprint and 8th in the 4x7.5 km relay. In the 1984 Winter Olympics, he finished 42nd in the sprint and the US relay team came in 11th. Nielsen attended the Hotchkiss School, graduating in 1970, and earned a magna cum laude degree in Classics from Dartmouth in 1974. He later became a teacher and moved to Greece in 1991.
