Donald Thomas Anderson (born December 29, 1939) is a British developmental biologist and zoologist. He served as a lecturer at King's College London and as the Challis Professor of Biology at the University of Sydney. His research until 1974 focused on the embryology of invertebrates, applying a functional approach and introducing the concept of fate maps. Anderson studied the reproduction and development of invertebrates in Australasia from 1974 to 1994 and published a monograph on barnacles in 1994. He has received prestigious awards, including the Order of Australia and the Alexander Kowalewski Medal.
