Dorothy "Tommy" Dermody was an accomplished Irish fencer born on April 26, 1909, in County Tipperary. She made her mark in the sport by competing in the women's individual foil event at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Dermody was known for her longevity and dedication to fencing, and at the time of her death on April 10, 2012, she was 102 years old, making her Ireland's oldest living Olympian and the world's oldest living Olympic fencer.
