Douglas McGowan was a Canadian politician and businessman, representing 3rd Kings in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1959 to 1966 as a Progressive Conservative. He was born in Kilmuir, Prince Edward Island, and founded McGowan Motors. Active in local politics, he served as deputy mayor of Montague. McGowan entered provincial politics in 1959, defeating the incumbent. He was re-elected in 1962 but did not run again in 1966. He passed away on October 25, 1989, in Montague.
